A Prof Graeme Hart

ACACI Director /

Deputy Director ICU

Associate Professor Graeme Hart , [MB BS, FJFICM, FANZCA] is the Deputy Director of Intensive Care and Clinical Co-Director of ACACI. Graeme is also Deputy Chair, Health Smart Clinical Systems Steering Committee, Department of Human services, Victoria.  

In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Graeme undertakes a range of management and research activities which focus on: Epidemiology of Critical Illness, Resource availability impact on Quality of Care and Health systems enhancement.  

Sofie Ioannidis (Karamzalis)

ACACI Executive Officer 

Sofie has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Medical Record Administration otherwise known as Health Information Management. Sofie's employment history incorporates management roles primarily in the public healthcare sector. These management roles have been in areas of Decision Support & Casemix Analysis, project management, managerial roles in Health Information Services and Consultancy in Coding including auditing nationally & internationally. Sofie also had the opportunity to work in the UK  on the Outpatient Waiting List Project for the NHS at Chelsea & Westminster  Hospital .

Jan Staehr

Clinical Projects Coordinator

Jan has a Batchelor of Applied Science (Adv Nurs) and a Post Graduate Diploma of Information Technology. With a clinical background in acute and community health nursing, Jan has gained informatics experience working in the public and private sectors as an informatics nurse and a project manager.

Anthea Ward

Clinical Projects Coordinator

Anthea has Bachelor of Health Information Management and Graduate Certificate in Health Service Management. Anthea and has worked in the public health sector in Melbourne and Canberra. Prior to joining ACACI in 2006, Anthea was working at NHS Connecting for Health in the UK.

Caitlyn Green

Clinical Project Officer / Dietician

Caitlyn is an accredited practicing dietitian who has worked at Austin Health for the past 4 years. She has a special interest in nutrition research and its application in clinical settings.

Sean Conley

Clinical Project Officer

Sean has a Bachelor of Nursing and a Graduate Diploma in Critical Care Nursing Emergency. Sean has a clinical background in acute and sub-acute in Victoria and Queensland.  Sean gained an interest in clinical informatics whilst the project officer of Victorian State Trauma and Outcomes Registry. He has worked as an Associate Nurse Unit Manager in Emergency Nursing over the past 7 years.

Janette Gogler

Nursing Informatics

Janette Gogler brings to ACACI a strong background in clinical informatics in tertiary health services.  A Registered Nurse with post graduate qualifications in Health Informatics and many years experience in education and training.   

Janette has several roles within Austin; managing telehealth innovation for home monitoring of patients with chronic disease; administrator and trainer for e-rostering; research in nursing data elements in order to prepare the organisation for electronic documentation.  Her passion for nursing informatics 2008 is to bring the 21st Century to nursing at Austin health with the right tools at point of care and reducing duplication of data entry.

Evelyn Hovenga

Honorary Academic Fellow

Evelyn [RN PhD FRCNA FCHSE FACHI FACS] is a distinguished Australian health informatician. She has made major contributions to the discipline for over 30 years. Evelyn is the Director of EJSH Consulting. She has been appointed as a consultant to the openEHR Foundation and is an Honorary Senior Research Associate at the Centre for Health Informatics & Multiprofessional Education, University College London.
